Rural Education Project, Component 1: Improved Teacher Incentives

Development of a performance management system for teachers and principals and of a related salary-based performance incentive scale, the application of the performance incentive scale in Issykul and Talas oblasts, and the development and implementation of a targeted, nationwide teacher fellowship program to help attract new teacher graduates to teach in rural schools in subjects with acute vacancies.
