Kyrgyzstan-Finland Lung Health Programme

The overall objective of the project was reduced mortality and morbidity of respiratory diseases in the pilot areas of Kyrgyzstan. The purpose of the project was improved control of priority respiratory diseases in the pilot areas and subsequently in the entire country by: (a) strengthening institutional management and national policies, (b) upgrading health care provider skills on respiratory diseases, (c) upgrading health facilities, and (d) supporting primary prevention of respiratory diseases.
