Design of Boshra Canal water slow sand filtration plant

The process was designed to produce treated water 70 l/s (252 m3/h). Because of backwash water, the treatment plant was designed for flow 78 l/s (280 m3/h). Raw water is pumped from Bahr Jussuf.
The slow sand filtration plant consists of the following units:
- Water intake (78 l/s, 280 m3/h)
- Pre-sedimentation
- Rapid sand filtration
- Slow sand filtration
- Chlorination.
