Turku Region Wastewater Treatment Plant Ltd is owned by several municipalities in area around the city of Turku in southern Finland. The company operates the Kakola wastewater treatment plant in Turku which receives municipal waste waters from its owners and also some main sewage lines and sewage pumping stations.
The project includes design and construction supervision of 5 km long sewage pipelines between the cities of Kaarina and Turku and of 8 km sewage pipelines between the cities of Raisio and Turku.
Lines between Kaarina-Turku consisted of two 800 mm diameter PEH pipes and one pumping station. A section of sewage lines was installed through a waterway and had to be submerged under the bottom of coastal waters.
Lines between Raisio-Turku consisted of two 560…800 mm diameter PEH pipes and two pumping stations. The line included gravity pipelines and as well pressure pipelines
The total constructions cost of the project was 19,500,000 Euros.
