FCG has involved in development of the Indonesian forestry sector and natural resources management over the years. In addition to short-term assignments, we have implemented a large EU-funded South/Central Kalimantan Production Forest Programme in 1998 – 2004 and recently in 2011 – 2014, a project called as Energy and Environment Partnership with Indonesia (EEP Indonesia), funded by the MFA Finland.
Our role as a contributor to the development of Indonesian natural resources management continues.
FCG International signed the contract on the implementation of “Promoting Sustainable Community Based Natural Resources Management and Institutional Development” with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Indonesia. The assignment as part of the Forest Investment Program (FIP), a targeted program of the Strategic Climate Fund (SCF) under the Climate Investment Fund (CIF), covers consulting services for the day-to-day management and coordination of the project.
We implement this 5-year program within the total budget of USD 1.5 million and assign six long-term full-time experts and three part-time experts with intermittent inputs for its implementation.
Dr. Silver Hutabarat works as the National Project Manager and Juhani Härkönen, our advisor with over 11 years of experience in Indonesia, as the International Senior Technical and Policy Advisor of the project.
