Johanna is a Senior Consultant and Project Manager, with a focus on Monitoring & Evaluation. She has more than ten years’ working experience in international development cooperation. She was previously at SADEV (the Swedish Agency for Development Evaluation) and IDS (the Institute of Development Studies, UK). She has research and consultancy experience in the areas of monitoring and evaluation and results based management, aid effectiveness, gender, and agricultural development.
Working as an M&E consultant internationally, she has supported a variety of organisations, including bilateral development agencies (DFID, Sida, Norad, Irish Aid, IDRC), multilateral agencies (WFP, UN Women), NGOs (Save the Children, GSMA, RUFORUM, AGRA) and philanthropic foundations (Bill and Belinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome Trust). As an evaluator, Johanna has worked extensively with different types of data collection (surveys, interviews, focus group discussions) and analysis (both qualitative and quantitative). She also has extensive experience of quality assurance processes within evaluation, including application of the OECD/DAC and UNEG Quality Standards.
Johanna holds a Master’s in Development, Environment and Policy from the University of Sussex in the UK.
