FCG Sweden ranked first provider on the Norad Framework Agreement for Organisational Reviews of Civil Society Organisations

We are glad to announce that FCG Sweden is the first ranked supplier under the Framework Agreement for Organisational Reviews of Civil Society Organisations for 2021-2023 with the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).

We are pleased to continue our work with Norad, now with new consultants bringing even more diverse expertise to the team. Jonas Lövkrona is the Overall Manager for the agreement, playing the key role in developing the methodology. The team is supported by Johanna Lindström, Helka Lamminkoski and Sofia Kliukina from the Evaluation Unit at FCG Sweden.

So far two organisational reviews are ongoing and will be finalised in early 2022:

  • A partner review of Mongabay, a non-profit environmental news platform reporting on forests, wildlife, oceans, and the conservation sector, with a network of over 800 correspondents in 70 countries. The review is led by Pontus Modéer, with support from Johnny O’Regan.
  • A partner assessment of a Peruvian organisation Profonanpe. The review will serve as guidance relating to Norad’s decision on whether they should enter into an agreement with Profonanpe as the hosting of the REDD+ National Financial Mechanism (Reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation) to be created in Peru. The review is led by Åsa Königson, supported by Leif Danielsson and Patricia Rojas Chávez.

In the pipeline for 2022 we are preparing for several organisational assessments related to Norway´s International Climate and Forest Initiative – NICFI.

Under this framework agreement we will continue using an assessment methodology based on the Abilities Framework, originally developed by Stein-Erik Kruse. The application of this (adapted) framework provides for a holistic and multi-dimensional organisational assessment that extends beyond the existence of formalised policies, systems and procedures. Additionally, in upcoming reviews we will test a new addition to our methodology – the Traffic Light system. The Traffic Light system categorises key findings and recommendations, assigning them either a red, yellow or green rating, conveying their weight and priority in a reader-friendly format.
