We have expanded our research services to support present reforms as well as possible. FCG’s research activities involve a diverse range of surveys, studies and progress reports. We use the industry’s latest research data to support both municipalities and the state administration in decision making. Our researchers also have a wide network of partners.
Our surveys respond to the diverse needs of customers. Our research services include the largest cities, municipalities, ministries and government agencies in Finland. We analyse a wide range of materials and aggregate results into conclusions and development recommendations. Changes are always based on an assessment of the current situation.
Population surveys are used to effectively determine the perceptions of services amongst municipal inhabitants. A comparison database of more than 30 municipalities makes it easier to visualise each municipality’s own strengths and find areas for development. In customer satisfaction surveys, the survey form is designed with the customer, or standard templates can be used to allow comparison with other organisations.
We use a diverse range of statistical analyses and benchmarking systems, for example, in the analysis of service costs, service structure and the operating environment. Development trends in vitality, for example, in the area of jobs, labour and production, can be evaluated for years ahead. Comparative information can be for strategy monitoring and other purposes.
The assessments provide new information on the activities and impacts of programmes and organisations, for example. The possibility of comparing their own strengths and development targets with other organisations brings an additional dimension to development work. The assessments highlight targets for development.
