The overall objective of this assignment was to support the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria (MoES) and the Electric Mobility Industrial Cluster (EVIC) in ensuring the supply of skilled labour in the field of e-mobility that matches the needs of the labour market.

The purposes of this Assignment were as follows:

  • To produce an evidence-based analysis that could be used to inform the further development of VET in the field of e-mobility in Bulgaria
  • To explore the potential for a roll-out of the existing pilot programmes to additional VET schools in Bulgaria
  • To further clarify VET schools’ needs for specific equipment required to achieve the learning outcomes of VET programmes in the field of e-mobility
  • To sketch opportunities for the establishment of collaboration agreements with professional centres outside of Bulgaria

Following results were achieved:

  • Collection and analyses of robust data (primary and secondary) on the current and future demand for graduates with VET qualifications in the field of e-mobility in Bulgaria
  • Exploration of possible avenues for ensuring a match between supply and demand
  • Assessment of the feasibility of setting up collaboration agreements of Bulgarian VET institutions offering programmes in e-mobility with VET schools/programmes in Romania and Greece
