FCG Group Acquires Bulgarian Environmental Consulting Company

The international operations of the FCG Group are expanding to Bulgaria. The FCG Group has acquired POVVIK-OOS Ltd., a Bulgarian company specialised in environmental consulting and engineering.

Established in 1992, Povvik-OOS employs some 20 people, while its partnership network consists of more than 200 experts. The company's clients include multinational companies operating in Bulgaria, public administration organisations and international financing institutions. The company is among the three largest companies operating in the field of environmental consulting in Bulgaria.

“Bulgaria is a new EU country in which a number of investments and projects relating to the development of the environmental sector will be implemented over the next few years. Environmental consulting is one of the principal areas of operation for FCG, and this transaction will strengthen our position in this rapidly growing market in Eastern Europe. Povvik also has expertise in the field of water and environmental engineering,” says Markku Oksanen, President, FCG International Oy.

The international operations of the FCG Group are largely based on an international network of subsidiaries and on training, environmental and community infrastructure development projects attentive to local conditions. FCG International Oy is the leading development consulting company in Finland.
