Design Finland 100’s Nordic Business & Design Case Competition was held in Singapore for the third time. FCG participated in the challenge with a proposal for promoting business operations in Africa. The team that responded to the FCG challenge won the competition.
The purpose of the competition for students from leading universities in Southeast Asia is to establish connections between successful Nordic companies and Asian students.
“FCG’s strategic goal is to grow in Africa. As a result, we wanted to provide students with a problem to solve in relation to the conditions for growth in a very different market from the Nordic countries,” says Sami Kangasharju, head of development consulting at FCG.
The members of the winning team are Hew Qian Yu, Rachel Koh and Tessa Wong of the National University of Singapore. The certificate was presented to the winners by Auli Keinänen of FCG and Kirsti Lindberg-Repo, who is CEO of Brand Audit Group.
“The proposals for action presented in the winning thesis were very clear, the analysis was well structured and the overall thesis was excellently done. We are extremely grateful to all the participants on behalf of FCG,” says Kangasharju.
Other Finnish companies that were represented at this year’s competition were Neste, Konkret Oy, Aalto, Arctic Blue Gin and Altia. The Stockholm School of Economics and Copenhagen Business School were also involved in the competition. The Design Finland 100 project is an initiative of Brand Audit.
