Frida Lanshammar
Frida Lanshammar is the Managing Director and Country Manager for FCG Swedish Development Consulting. She holds a M.Sc. in Environmental and Aquatic Engineering (Uppsala University, Sweden), specialising in Environmental Management and Water Resources. She has more than 10 years of experience from management positions in consulting businesses both in Sweden and internationally.
Ms Lanshammar’s core competences are overall business management, leadership, project management, environmental assessments, and stakeholder consultation processes. She was based in Zanzibar, Tanzania, for six years working on a wide range of environmental and community development projects throughout Eastern and Southern Africa and the Western Indian Ocean. She has managed several large regional assignments funded by the GEF through the World Bank, UNDP, UNEP and UNIDO, including the DLIST ASCLME Project (www.dlist-asclme.org), which focused on improving communication and stakeholder involvement in the planning phase of the large-scale marine and coastal resource management project for the Agulhas and Somali Currents (GEF/UNDP). Ms. Lanshammar has also been involved in a number of projects related to both the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive in Sweden and its consequences on the hydropower industry. In addition, she has managed several underground power cable projects and climate impact assessments from business and construction processes.
Ms Lanshammar speaks fluent English, Swedish, and German and intermediate Kiswahili and French.
