Agriculture Sector Programme

The overall scope of the project included the preparation of a comprehensive Agricultural Sector Programme that covered a number of areas: an evaluation of the impact of economic reforms in general, and ADB interventions in particular, a review of the current status of the agricultural sector, analysis and recommendations regarding key issues and preparation of a sectoral strategy. The rationale of the TA was to help the Government establish a competitive market-based and diversified agricultural system able to generate balanced and broad-based growth in a sustainable manner.
