Evaluation of the Regional Joint UN Programme in support of Cross-border cooperation in Liptako-Gourma

The purpose or intended use of the evaluation is to:
• help Sida, MPTFO, UNDP, LGA and all PUNOs implementing the UN JP LG to establish a common understanding of the implementation of Joint Programme in terms of identifying and assessing activities undertaken, targeted localities & beneficiaries, results achieved and the degree and efficiency of implementation, while comparing outcomes and actual spending with plans and budgets as set out in the original Prodoc or any revision of the same, including approved workplans and budgets;
• in light of the observed deficiencies in reporting, management and governance of the programme, formulate recommendations to all cited stakeholders, jointly or individually, including to the Donors, the Convening Agent, the PUNOs, Steering Committee members and MPTFO for future improvements of governance, management and accountability in UN Joint Programmes;
• help Sida arrive at an estimate of the share of total contributions used for their intended purpose.
