Evaluation of the Swedish Institute’s Culture Exchange Programme

The Evaluation of the Swedish Institute's Culture Exchange Programme had three purposes:

• to serve as a learning tool and an instrument for Sida's assessment of the programme
• to provide input to the dialogue on the future relationship between Sida and the Swedish Institute
• to provide input to Sida's further implementation of the Strategy for Global Development.

The effectiveness, relevance, sustainability and outcome of the Programme were assessed in the evaluation. In addition the evaluation assessed which organisation that was the most appropriate for administration of culture exchange with development countries and provided recommendations for the future relationship between Sida and the Swedish Institute.
