As part of preparations for a new development cooperation strategy for West Africa, Sida commissioned an external results analysis of the preceding strategy period, based on desk studies and field visits. The strategy was assessed both in relation to Swedish development cooperation goals and in the wider context of different countries’ own development strategies and trends. Burkina Faso and Mali were the main recipients, but also several others, in particular Liberia and ECOWAS (Economic Community Of West African States).
