Municipal financial system – basic training

SIPU, in co-operation with Bannock Consulting, delivered a series of training seminars for civil servants in the Kosovar municipalities to enhance their financial management capacity. Five two-week courses in basic accounting, in all attended by some 100 accountants, and five 4-day courses of financial management targeting the municipal Boards of Directors was delivered. SIPU/Bannock developed the training material (incl. session guides) and delivered the first five courses of each type. Kosovar trainers took gradually more responsibility for the lecturing and are now able to deliver the seminars themselves.
