Organizational review of Fundación Ecuatoriana de Estudios Ecológicos, EcoCiencia (Call Off)

As a part of Norad’s management of cooperation agreements, Norad periodically performs organisational reviews. This review serves as an important control and quality assurance function and enables Norad to take informed decisions on support and identify important dialogue and follow-up issues. The review provides recommendations to ensure better planning and follow-up by Norad and by the grant recipients.

In addition to visiting Ecociencia’s headquarter in Quito, the consultants interviewed the other project partners and conducted a field visit to one or two of these partners’ local offices in the parts of the Ecuadorian Amazon that are included in the project. Also, special attention was paid to project partner Pachamama, which manages funds for two of the smaller Indigenous People’s organisations in the consortium.
