Partner assessment of Gaia Amazonas and of the Foundation for Conservation and Sustainable Development (FCDS)

FCDS:

The primary purpose is to assess FCDS`s foundation competence and capacity to continue receiving grants directly from NICFI and trough the Norwegian Embassy in Colombia, and to provide recommendations to the organization regarding the elements evaluated.

The assessment will be used to support the embassy's and NICFI´s decision to sign new future agreements with FCDS foundation.

The scope of the assessment will be broad and should cover at least the last 1 year) including the thematic and geographic competence, the planning, management, and evaluation systems (including risk management), the governance systems and routines, the criteria, and processes to select and follow-up subgrantees and the advocacy strategies used.

GAIA:

from NICFI trough the Norwegian Embassy in Colombia, and properly implement a project that supports the recognition of Indigenous Governments in the Amazon region.

The assessment will be used to support the embassy's decision to sign an agreement with the GAIA foundation.

The scope of the assessment will be broad and should cover at least the last 2 years, including the thematic and geographic competence, the planning, management, and evaluation systems (including risk management), the governance systems and routines, the criteria and processes to select and follow-up subgrantees and the advocacy strategies used.
