Private Sector Support through Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce

The Private Sector Development Programme (PSD-Hub) improved and modernised the entrepreneurial environment and strengthened the capacity of the Ethiopian private sector to constructively contribute to the national dialogue on economic development. The programme aimed to support the private sector development in a bottom-up way by strengthening the capacity and voice of the representative base-organisations in the Ethiopian enterprise sector. For this purpose a ‘Hub’ for PSD activities (project development, research etc.) were created within the Addis Ababa Chambers of Commerce (AACC), with capacity to generate full-fledged bankable project proposals for institution-building projects aiming to restore crucial functions in the enabling environment for economic development.
