The objective of the project was to assist the Government to set up a Land Transport Authority, involving the transfer of existing functions and staff from the Road Development Authority, the National Transport Authority and the Traffic Management and Road Safety Unit of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, National Development Unit, Land Transport and Shipping.
