SIPU has been assigned to deliver training in EU project management and project development for officials in municipalities, regional councils, universities, and counties in the South of Sweden (Kalmar, Blekinge, Kronoberg, and Småland). The training activities are carried out in five subject areas: infrastructure, capacity building, information technology, business development and environment, energy & climate, as well as a basic course on EU institutions and their functions.

The general objective of the training was to:
– Improve local and regional capacity, leading to the specific regions being more active in European cooperation.
– Contribute to continued learning in EU affairs among the participating organisations, in turn contributing to business development in each organisation.

The training was adapted to the participants’ different needs in the various areas. The assignment also included overall responsibility for the implementation and coordination of the courses. In total, the training reach between 220 to 300 officials in the south region of Sweden.
