The Overall Objective is ‘Improved public health and reduced poverty within the project working area’. The project purpose is ‘To achieve full coverage of water supply and sanitation, and establishment of functional planning and implementation frameworks for all water uses in nine project districts’ The three result areas are: 1. Drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), 2. Livelihoods development, and 3. GON institutionalized capacity building. The project is a continuation from the earlier two very successful phases, and it also works closely with the other Finnish-funded WASH project, the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Western Nepal.
