The assignment is part of the World Bank’s Belarus Water Supply and Sanitation Project, Loan No 7589-BY. The 60 Million USD loan is split to several small components, this one comprising the studies, design, and supervision of works concerned with water supply networks and facilities in Shklov. The town with its 13 000 inhabitants makes use of groundwater that is pumped directly to the water supply network. Water quality meets sanitary standards. The project aims at modernising the waterworks’ clean water tanks and booster pumping station as well as expand the water supply networks.
