Our services cover projects of varying scales and briefs – from architectural and zoning services and land-use planning to landscape design, as well as research and development projects.

Successful urban planning draws on local knowledge, new technology and innovative methods. Through service design and participatory methods, we bring the client’s needs into the planning work. Our experts stay abreast of legislation and guidance. We also use city models, co-creation and game-based methods at different stages of planning.
FCG is a uniquely placed partner for every land-use and zoning assignment. Our multidisciplinary team brings seasoned expertise to projects at every scale. With around 45 specialists, we deliver hundreds of projects each year, drawing on our wider in-house know-how — for example, in infrastructure and building services. We create focused, concrete solutions for each situation.
We help municipalities achieve their strategic aims through land-use planning. If a municipality wants to grow in a particular direction or attract specific resident groups, we prepare the appropriate master and local detailed plans. Our services span the full spectrum – from town-centre development to wind-power planning. In all our work, we consider the principles of sustainable development and future change.
Sound spatial development is based on robust evidence and impact assessment. We produce the key studies and assessments that planning requires, giving decision-makers a solid foundation for decision-making. We have developed an assessment toolkit to examine plan options from three perspectives: economic impacts, climate impacts, and impacts on the quality of the living environment. Our services include impact assessment under the Land Use and Building Act, retail assessments, and ROS and RHS studies (ROS: building-character survey; RHS: building-history survey).
