Finnish Consulting Group strengthens its development consulting in Europe by acquiring Pohl Consulting Associates GMBH

Finnish Consulting Group (FCG) has entered into agreement to acquire international development consulting company Pohl Consulting & Associates GmbH (PC&A). Berlin-based PC&A is specialized in EU-funded projects which is a strategic growth area for FCG.

“PC&A superbly complements our prowess in EU-funded development consulting. The acquisition allows us to strengthen our foothold in Europe’s development consulting field, which is a major part of our corporate business and a significant area for growth in the future”, states Mari Puoskari, CEO of FCG.

“FCG provides us specialized expertise to respond our current customer needs. In return, we can implement a direct route to EU’s development consultancy market, where we possess a strong position. The ability to win even more important development projects in multiple areas of expertise will increase by joining forces“, says Andreas von Brühl-Pohl, CEO of PC&A.

The international development consulting business comprises 35% of the total revenue of FCG group. FCG has subsidiaries in New Zealand, Singapore, Kenya, Bulgaria, Finland and Sweden. Now, after the PC&A deal, also in Germany. 

”FCG has the leading position in international development consulting within Nordic countries. This great acquisition continues the development in Germany and throughout Europe”, says Sami Kangasharju, head of FCG’s international development consulting. 

The main office of Pohl Consulting & Associates is located in Berlin, Germany. The company has a revenue of 3.5 million euros. PC&A will continue under its current name for now but will be integrated into the FCG brand in time when the transaction is completed.
